Todd stopped by my home last Saturday morning on his way to the Mid-Ohio Comic Convention. My wife and I invited him to have a homemade breakfast with us. So, he arrived about 8AM.

My first impression about Todd was good. He was very pleasant, personable, and a generally happy person. He came bearing a gift of pickled garlic (yum), and we reciprocated with a basket of home-canned goods. He gave my son Ethan a box containing a mini choo-choo train made of chocolate. That was very nice of him.

While having breakfast, we had an informative chit-chat. Todd seems to love his collection of 50,000 or so comic books. I, myself, cannot imagine that owning that many comic books let alone managing the collection itself. He takes good care of his collection and takes pride in it.

Todd also mention to us about his transition from being a downsized manager for Adelphia cable to being an emergency medical technician. His choice of a new career surprised me, but he further mentioned that he has been a volunteer for years. So, it sounds like opportunity is knocking at his door, so his future looks bright.

Our breakfast soon winded down, and he had to leave to the convention. We wished him safe travel. I had a good time meeting Todd Schoonover.

I was going to the Mid-Ohio Comic Convention and was going to be driving within four miles of his house. His wife, YRush, invited me to come by and meet them. RWX met me at the door along with his son. He was a great host and was nothing like his avatar.

He also clued me in about cubital tunnel syndrome which could explain some of the numbness I get in my hands at times. (I really shouldn’t be propping myself up on my elbows while typing this.)

He is silly! The sense of humor on that guy! He’s unexpected and unique. You never know what will happen next with this guy!

I used to listen to him all the time when he was on the radio. He’s funny and interesting. Why not?!

Road Warrior says it all. Anytime I need directions I just call him and he knows them backwards and forwards. It doesn’t help that I forgot them at home after he took 5 minutes relaying them to me. lol

She is directionally challenged. She could not find her way out of a cornfield. In order for her to follow driving directions, I must put landmarks in order for her to find stuff. Street names do not help, nor do state route numbers. It’s “turn left at the pink house” or “turn right at the red garbage can (hope it’s not trash day)”.

He’s my husband! What do you want to know? I got all kinds of stories!
